What is Full Moon wo Sagashite?
Full Moon wo Sagashite (translation: Searching for the Full Moon) is about a 12 year old Kouyama Mitsuki, a girl who dreams of nothing but becoming a famous singer. There is only one problem, which prevents her from trying to achieve her goal. She has throat cancer and it's very painful to sing loudly. She also in need of an operation that would remove her vocal cords, causing her to never speak or sing again. She, of course, refuses to allow this. One day she is visited by two shinigami (or Gods of Death), by the name of Takuto and Meroko, who inform her that she has, but only a year left to live. Mitsuki doesn't have much time to make her dreams come true, but with the help of two semi-willing shinigami and her own talent, she is well on her way!

Who is Tanemura Arina?
Tanemura-sensei is well-known for her manga series Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (which spawned a 44 episode anime series), Time Stranger Kyoko (which also has a small OVA *very cute*), and now Full Moon. Her artwork is remarkable and unique and her stories (especially KKJ) are wonderful. If you couldn't tell, I'm a HUGE fan. ^^
